Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel's 2018 pay jumps 761% to $59M

Moderna reported fiscal year 2018 executive compensation information on March 16, 2020.
In 2018, four Moderna executives received on average a compensation package of $25M, a 84% increase compared to previous year.
Stéphane Bancel, Chief Executive Officer, received $59M in total, which increased by 761% compared to 2017. 95% of Bancel's compensation, or $56M, was in option awards. Bancel also received $1.8M in bonus, $863K in salary, as well as $9.6K in other compensation.
John Mendlein, Former President, Corporate and Product Strategy, received a compensation package of $26M. 97% of the compensation package, or $25M, was in option awards.
Lorence Kim, Chief Financial Officer, earned $9M in 2018, a 3% decrease compared to previous year.
Stephen Hoge, President, received $4.7M in 2018, which decreases by 80% compared to 2017.
