MSCI reported fiscal year 2021 executive compensation information on March 16, 2022.
In 2021, five MSCI executives received on average a compensation package of $4.9M, a 10% increase compared to previous year.
Henry A. Fernandez, Chief Executive Officer, received $10M in total, which increased by 4% compared to 2020. 73% of Fernandez's compensation, or $7.5M, was in stock awards. Fernandez also received $1.8M in non-equity incentive plan, $1M in salary, as well as $23K in other compensation.
For fiscal year 2021, the median employee pay was $58,415 at MSCI. Therefore, the ratio of Henry A. Fernandez's pay to the median employee pay was 177 to one.
C.D. Baer Pettit, Chief Operating Officer, received a compensation package of $6.5M, which increased by 6% compared to previous year. 61% of the compensation package, or $4M, was in stock awards.
Scott A. Crum, Chief Human Resources Officer, earned $3M in 2021, a 19% increase compared to previous year.
Robert J. Gutowski, General Counsel, received $2.2M in 2021, which increases by 62% compared to 2020.
Andrew C. Wiechmann, Chief Financial Officer, earned $2.2M in 2021, a 40% increase compared to previous year.
