Nasdaq reported fiscal year 2018 executive compensation information on March 12, 2019.
In 2018, five Nasdaq executives received on average a compensation package of $6.2M, a 13% increase compared to previous year.
Adena T. Friedman, Chief Executive Officer, received $14M in total, which decreased by 1% compared to 2017. 66% of Friedman's compensation, or $9.5M, was in stock awards. Friedman also received $3.8M in non-equity incentive plan, $1M in salary, as well as $46K in other compensation.
For fiscal year 2018, the median employee pay was $111,155 at Nasdaq. Therefore, the ratio of Adena T. Friedman's pay to the median employee pay was 129 to one.
Bradley J. Peterson, EVP and Chief Information Officer, received a compensation package of $4.6M, which increased by 34% compared to previous year. 53% of the compensation package, or $2.4M, was in stock awards.
Michael Ptasznik, Chief Financial Officer, earned $4.4M in 2018, a 43% increase compared to previous year.
Thomas A. Wittman, EVP, Global Trading and Market Services, received $4.2M in 2018, which increases by 11% compared to 2017.
Edward S. Knight, EVP and Global Chief Legal and Policy Officer, earned $3.5M in 2018, a 22% increase compared to previous year.
