Nasdaq reported fiscal year 2021 executive compensation information on April 28, 2022.
In 2021, six Nasdaq executives received on average a compensation package of $6.2M, a 3% decrease compared to previous year.
Adena T. Friedman, Chief Executive Officer, received $20M in total, which increased by 26% compared to 2020. 64% of Friedman's compensation, or $13M, was in stock awards. Friedman also received $5.8M in non-equity incentive plan, $1.3M in salary, as well as $52K in other compensation.
For fiscal year 2021, the median employee pay was $98,946 at Nasdaq. Therefore, the ratio of Adena T. Friedman's pay to the median employee pay was 202 to one.
Bradley J. Peterson, Chief Technology Officer, received a compensation package of $4.8M, which increased by 19% compared to previous year. 51% of the compensation package, or $2.4M, was in stock awards.
