NetApp CEO Daniel Warmenhoven's 2008 pay slips 8% to $5.9M

NetApp reported fiscal year 2008 executive compensation information on July 14, 2008.
In 2008, five NetApp executives received on average a compensation package of $3.1M, a 13% decrease compared to previous year.
Daniel J. Warmenhoven, Chief Executive Officer, received $5.9M in total, which decreased by 8% compared to 2007. 56% of Warmenhoven's compensation, or $3.3M, was in option awards. Warmenhoven also received $1.3M of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $507K in non-equity incentive plan, $787K in salary, as well as $1.7K in other compensation.
Thomas Georgens, Chief Operating Officer, received a compensation package of $2.9M, which decreased by 18% compared to previous year. 67% of the compensation package, or $2M, was in option awards.
Robert E. Salmon, Executive Vice President, Field Operations, earned $2.8M in 2008, which is about the same as previous year.
Thomas F. Mendoza, Chairman, received $2.4M in 2008, which decreases by 27% compared to 2007.
Steven J. Gomo, Chief Financial Officer, earned $1.4M in 2008, a 17% decrease compared to previous year.
NetApp's fiscal year ends on April 29.
