New Relic reported fiscal year 2020 executive compensation information on July 7, 2020.
In 2020, five New Relic executives received on average a compensation package of $5.8M, a 78% increase compared to previous year.
Michael Christenson, Chief Operating Officer, received $11M in total. 49% of Christenson's compensation, or $5.4M, was in option awards. Christenson also received $53K in non-equity incentive plan, $200K in salary, $5.4M in stock awards, as well as $21K in other compensation.
For fiscal year 2020, the median employee pay was $178,932 at New Relic. Therefore, the ratio of Michael Christenson's pay to the median employee pay was 62 to one.
William Staples, Chief Product Officer, received a compensation package of $5.7M. 49% of the compensation package, or $2.8M, was in option awards.

Erica Schultz, Former Chief Revenue Officer, received $4.2M in 2020, which is about the same as previous year.
Mark Sachleben, Chief Financial Officer, earned $2.7M in 2020, a 5% increase compared to previous year.
