New Relic reported fiscal year 2021 executive compensation information on July 6, 2021.
In 2021, four New Relic executives received on average a compensation package of $5.2M, a 10% decrease compared to previous year.
Lewis Cirne, Chief Executive Officer, received $8.3M in total, which increased by 62% compared to 2020. 56% of Cirne's compensation, or $4.7M, was in stock awards. Cirne also received $161K in non-equity incentive plan, $3M in option awards, $450K in salary, as well as $4.6K in other compensation.
For fiscal year 2021, the median employee pay was $199,073 at New Relic. Therefore, the ratio of Lewis Cirne's pay to the median employee pay was 42 to one.
Michael Christenson, Chief Executive Officer, received a compensation package of $5.9M, which decreased by 47% compared to previous year. 91% of the compensation package, or $5.4M, was in stock awards.
Mark Sachleben, Chief Financial Officer, earned $5.7M in 2021, a 115% increase compared to previous year.
William Staples, Chief Executive Officer, received $795K in 2021, which decreases by 86% compared to 2020.
