News Corp reported fiscal year 2019 executive compensation information on October 7, 2019.
In 2019, four News Corp executives received on average a compensation package of $7M, a 9% increase compared to previous year.
Robert J. Thomson, Chief Executive Officer, received $15M in total, which increased by 14% compared to 2018. 37% of Thomson's compensation, or $5.5M, was in non-equity incentive plan. Thomson also received $336K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $3M in salary, $5.5M in stock awards, as well as $427K in other compensation.
K. Rupert Murdoch, Chairman, received a compensation package of $5M, which decreased by 12% compared to previous year. 44% of the compensation package, or $2.2M, was in non-equity incentive plan.
Susan Panuccio, Chief Financial Officer, earned $4.6M in 2019, a 23% increase compared to previous year.
David B. Pitofsky, General Counsel, received $3.5M in 2019, which increases by 10% compared to 2018.
News Corp's fiscal year ends on June 30.
