News Corp reported fiscal year 2020 executive compensation information on October 5, 2020.
In 2020, four News Corp executives received on average a compensation package of $6.4M, a 9% decrease compared to previous year.
Robert J. Thomson, Chief Executive Officer, received $14M in total, which decreased by 8% compared to 2019. 64% of Thomson's compensation, or $8.7M, was in stock awards. Thomson also received $210K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $1.3M in non-equity incentive plan, $3M in salary, as well as $417K in other compensation.
Susan Panuccio, Chief Financial Officer, received a compensation package of $4.9M, which increased by 7% compared to previous year. 41% of the compensation package, or $2M, was in stock awards.
David B. Pitofsky, General Counsel, earned $3.6M in 2020, a 4% increase compared to previous year.
K. Rupert Murdoch, Chairman, received $3.4M in 2020, which decreases by 33% compared to 2019.
News Corp's fiscal year ends on June 30.
