Northern Trust reported fiscal year 2018 executive compensation information on March 12, 2019.
In 2018, six executives at Northern Trust received on average a compensation package of $5.4M, a 17% decrease compared to previous year.
Michael G. O'Grady, Chief Executive Officer, received $8M in total, which increased by 50% compared to 2017. 61% of O'Grady's compensation, or $4.9M, was in stock awards. O'Grady also received $113K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $2.1M in non-equity incentive plan, $900K in salary, as well as $34K in other compensation.
Frederick H. Waddell, Chairman, received a compensation package of $7.6M, which decreased by 36% compared to previous year. 53% of the compensation package, or $4M, was in stock awards.
Jana R. Schreuder, Chief Operating Officer, earned $5.1M in 2018, a 16% decrease compared to previous year.
Steven L. Fradkin, President, Wealth Management, received $4.1M in 2018, which decreases by 20% compared to 2017.
Peter B. Cherecwich, President, Corporate & Institutional Services, earned $4.1M in 2018.
S. Biff Bowman, Chief Financial Officer, received $3.7M in 2018, which decreases by 13% compared to 2017.
