Northern Trust reported fiscal year 2021 executive compensation information on March 17, 2022.
In 2021, five executives at Northern Trust received on average a compensation package of $5.6M, a 12% increase compared to previous year.
Michael G. O'Grady, Chief Executive Officer, received $10M in total, which increased by 14% compared to 2020. 65% of O'Grady's compensation, or $6.8M, was in stock awards. O'Grady also received $145K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $2.5M in non-equity incentive plan, $950K in salary, as well as $29K in other compensation.
Shundrawn A. Thomas, President, Asset Management, received a compensation package of $4.7M, which increased by 16% compared to previous year. 52% of the compensation package, or $2.5M, was in stock awards.
Steven L. Fradkin, President, Wealth Management, earned $4.7M in 2021, a 19% decrease compared to previous year.
Peter B. Cherecwich, President, Corporate & Institutional Services, received $4.7M in 2021, which increases by 12% compared to 2020.
Jason J. Tyler, Chief Financial Officer, earned $3.5M in 2021, a 90% increase compared to previous year.
