Occidental Petroleum reported fiscal year 2009 executive compensation information on March 23, 2010.
In 2009, five executives at Occidental Petroleum received on average a compensation package of $11M, a 30% increase compared to previous year.
Ray R. Irani, Chairman, received $31M in total, which increased by 39% compared to 2008. 79% of Irani's compensation, or $25M, was in stock awards. Irani also received $1.2M in bonus, $2.6M in non-equity incentive plan, $1.2M in salary, as well as $1.7M in other compensation.
Stephen I. Chazen, Chief Executive Officer, received a compensation package of $13M, which increased by 40% compared to previous year. 82% of the compensation package, or $11M, was in stock awards.
Donald P. de Brier, General Counsel, earned $3.6M in 2009, a 27% increase compared to previous year.
William E. Albrecht, Vice President and President, Americas, Oxy Oil and Gas, received $2.8M in 2009.
U.S R. Casey Olson, Executive Vice President, earned $2.8M in 2009, a 5% increase compared to previous year.
