Paychex CEO Martin Mucci's 2018 pay falls 21% to $6.7M

Paychex reported fiscal year 2018 executive compensation information on September 7, 2018.
In 2018, five Paychex executives received on average a compensation package of $3M, a 25% decrease compared to previous year.
Martin Mucci, Chief Executive Officer, received $6.7M in total, which decreased by 21% compared to 2017. 49% of Mucci's compensation, or $3.3M, was in stock awards. Mucci also received $1.1M in non-equity incentive plan, $1.4M in option awards, $950K in salary, as well as $13K in other compensation.
Efrain Rivera, Chief Financial Officer, received a compensation package of $3.2M, which increased by 5% compared to previous year. 60% of the compensation package, or $1.9M, was in stock awards.
Michael E. Gioja, Senior Vice President of Information Technology and Product Development, earned $1.8M in 2018, a 38% decrease compared to previous year.
John B. Gibson, Senior Vice President of Service, received $1.8M in 2018, which decreases by 37% compared to 2017.
Mark A. Bottini, Senior Vice President of Sales, earned $1.7M in 2018, a 42% decrease compared to previous year.
Paychex's fiscal year ends on May 31.
