Public Storage CEO Joseph Russell's 2021 pay jumps 116% to $10M

Public Storage reported fiscal year 2021 executive compensation information on March 18, 2022.
In 2021, four executives at Public Storage received on average a compensation package of $7M, a 97% increase compared to previous year.
Joseph D. Russell, Jr, Chief Executive Officer, received $10M in total, which increased by 116% compared to 2020. 53% of Russell's compensation, or $5.5M, was in stock awards. Russell also received $1.4M in non-equity incentive plan, $2.6M in option awards, $800K in salary, as well as $12K in other compensation.
H. Thomas Boyle, Chief Financial Officer, received a compensation package of $7.5M, which increased by 106% compared to previous year. 51% of the compensation package, or $3.9M, was in stock awards.
Natalia N. Johnson, Chief Administrative Officer, earned $5.4M in 2021, a 65% increase compared to previous year.
Nathaniel A. Vitan, Chief Legal Officer, received $5M in 2021, which increases by 89% compared to 2020.
