Red Hat CEO James Whitehurst's 2018 pay jumps 22% to $14M

Red Hat reported fiscal year 2018 executive compensation information on June 25, 2018.
In 2018, five Red Hat executives received on average a compensation package of $6.4M, a 8% increase compared to previous year.
James M. Whitehurst, Chief Executive Officer, received $14M in total, which increased by 22% compared to 2017. 74% of Whitehurst's compensation, or $10M, was in stock awards. Whitehurst also received $2.5M in non-equity incentive plan, $1M in salary, as well as $14K in other compensation.
Paul J. Cormier, Executive Vice President and President, Products and Technologies, received a compensation package of $6.7M, which increased by 11% compared to previous year. 72% of the compensation package, or $4.8M, was in stock awards.
Arun Oberoi, Executive Vice President, Global Sales and Services, earned $4.6M in 2018, a 41% decrease compared to previous year.
Michael R. Cunningham, General Counsel, received $3.5M in 2018, which increases by 8% compared to 2017.
Eric R. Shander, Chief Financial Officer, earned $3.4M in 2018, a 155% increase compared to previous year.
Red Hat's fiscal year ends on February 28.
