Ross Stores CEO Michael Balmuth's 2010 pay rises 10% to $12M

Ross Stores reported fiscal year 2010 executive compensation information on April 15, 2011.
In 2010, five executives at Ross Stores received on average a compensation package of $4.5M, a 27% decrease compared to previous year.
Michael Balmuth, Chief Executive Officer, received $12M in total, which increased by 10% compared to 2009. 67% of Balmuth's compensation, or $7.8M, was in stock awards. Balmuth also received $2.3M in non-equity incentive plan, $1.1M in salary, as well as $402K in other compensation.
Barbara Rentler, President Chief Merchandising Officer, received a compensation package of $3.4M, which decreased by 55% compared to previous year. 47% of the compensation package, or $1.6M, was in non-equity incentive plan.
Michael O'Sullivan, Chief Operating Officer, earned $3M in 2010, a 55% decrease compared to previous year.
James S. Fassio, President Chief Development Officer, received $2.9M in 2010, which decreases by 42% compared to 2009.
John G. Call, Chief Financial Officer, earned $1.4M in 2010, a 4% increase compared to previous year.
Ross Stores' fiscal year ends on January 29.
