Royal Caribbean Cruises reported fiscal year 2008 executive compensation information on April 10, 2009.
In 2008, five executives at Royal Caribbean Cruises received on average a compensation package of $2.8M, a 9% decrease compared to previous year.
Richard D. Fain, Chief Executive Officer, received $5.8M in total, which decreased by 14% compared to 2007. 44% of Fain's compensation, or $2.6M, was in stock awards. Fain also received $1.4M in non-equity incentive plan, $657K in option awards, $1M in salary, as well as $126K in other compensation.
Adam M. Goldstein, Chief Executive Officer, received a compensation package of $3M, which increased by 9% compared to previous year. 39% of the compensation package, or $1.2M, was in non-equity incentive plan.
Daniel J. Hanrahan, Chief Executive Officer, earned $1.8M in 2008, a 13% decrease compared to previous year.
Brian J. Rice, Chief Financial Officer, received $1.8M in 2008, which decreases by 15% compared to 2007.
Harri U. Kulovaara, Executive Vice President, Maritime, earned $1.5M in 2008, a 5% decrease compared to previous year.
