Scholastic reported fiscal year 2018 executive compensation information on August 14, 2018.
In 2018, six Scholastic executives received on average a compensation package of $2.1M, a 10% decrease compared to previous year.
Richard Robinson, Chief Executive Officer, received $4.3M in total, which decreased by 13% compared to 2017. 54% of Robinson's compensation, or $2.3M, was in option awards. Robinson also received $34K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $515K in non-equity incentive plan, $970K in salary, as well as $472K in other compensation.
Maureen O'Connell, Chief Financial Officer, received a compensation package of $3.4M, which increased by 52% compared to previous year. 66% of the compensation package, or $2.2M, was in other compensation.
Judith Newman, Executive Vice President and President, Scholastic Book Clubs, earned $1.3M in 2018, a 15% decrease compared to previous year.
Andrew S. Hedden, General Counsel, received $1.2M in 2018, which decreases by 14% compared to 2017.
Alan J. Boyko, President, Scholastic Book Fairs, Inc, earned $1.2M in 2018, a 11% decrease compared to previous year.
Kenneth J. Cleary, Chief Financial Officer, received $913K in 2018.
Scholastic's fiscal year ends on May 31.
