Synaptics CEO Michael Hurlston's 2021 pay falls 50% to $12M

Synaptics reported fiscal year 2021 executive compensation information on September 7, 2021.
In 2021, five Synaptics executives received on average a compensation package of $4.9M, a 28% decrease compared to previous year.
Michael Hurlston, Chief Executive Officer, received $12M in total, which decreased by 50% compared to 2020. 83% of Hurlston's compensation, or $9.7M, was in stock awards. Hurlston also received $1.3M in non-equity incentive plan, $700K in salary, as well as $6.7K in other compensation.
John McFarland, General Counsel, received a compensation package of $3.6M, which increased by 61% compared to previous year. 61% of the compensation package, or $2.2M, was in stock awards.
Saleel Awsare, Senior Vice President and General Manager, PC & Peripherals Division, earned $3.4M in 2021, a 42% increase compared to previous year.
Dean Butler, Chief Financial Officer, received $3.3M in 2021, which decreases by 6% compared to 2020.
Phillip Kumin, Former Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales, earned $2.3M in 2021, a 7% increase compared to previous year.
Synaptics' fiscal year ends on June 26.
