Synopsys reported fiscal year 2018 executive compensation information on February 15, 2019.
In 2018, five Synopsys executives received on average a compensation package of $4.7M, a 15% increase compared to previous year.
Chi-Foon Chan, Chief Executive Officer, received $7.4M in total, which increased by 12% compared to 2017. 32% of Chan's compensation, or $2.4M, was in non-equity incentive plan. Chan also received $2.2M in option awards, $535K in salary, $2.2M in stock awards, as well as $4K in other compensation.
For fiscal year 2018, the median employee pay was $92,995 at Synopsys. Therefore, the ratio of Chi-Foon Chan's pay to the median employee pay was 80 to one.
Aart J. de Geus, Chief Executive Officer, received a compensation package of $7.4M, which increased by 12% compared to previous year. 32% of the compensation package, or $2.4M, was in non-equity incentive plan.
Joseph W. Logan, Sales and Corporate Marketing Officer, earned $3.8M in 2018, a 2% increase compared to previous year.
Trac Pham, Chief Financial Officer, received $3.3M in 2018, which increases by 22% compared to 2017.
John F. Runkel, Jr, General Counsel, earned $1.7M in 2018, a 9% increase compared to previous year.
Synopsys' fiscal year ends on October 31.
