Target CEO Brian Cornell's 2020 pay rises 4% to $20M

Target reported fiscal year 2020 executive compensation information on April 26, 2021.
In 2020, five Target executives received on average a compensation package of $9.1M, a 17% increase compared to previous year.
Brian C. Cornell, Chief Executive Officer, received $20M in total, which increased by 4% compared to 2019. 62% of Cornell's compensation, or $12M, was in stock awards. Cornell also received $1.1M in bonus, $4.5M in non-equity incentive plan, $1.4M in salary, as well as $489K in other compensation.
John J. Mulligan, Chief Operating Officer, received a compensation package of $11M, which increased by 8% compared to previous year. 46% of the compensation package, or $5.2M, was in stock awards.
Michael E. McNamara, Executive Vice President & Chief Information Officer, earned $5.8M in 2020, a 12% decrease compared to previous year.
Don H. Liu, Executive Vice President and Chief Legal & Risk Officer, received $4.7M in 2020, which decreases by 10% compared to 2019.
Michael J. Fiddelke, Chief Financial Officer, earned $3.7M in 2020, a 12% increase compared to previous year.
Target's fiscal year ends on February 1.
