TEGNA reported fiscal year 2021 executive compensation information on May 12, 2022.
In 2021, four TEGNA executives received on average a compensation package of $3.6M, a 1% increase compared to previous year.
David T. Lougee, Chief Executive Officer, received $7M in total, which increased by 4% compared to 2020. 63% of Lougee's compensation, or $4.4M, was in stock awards. Lougee also received $1.5M in bonus, $5.5K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $975K in salary, as well as $141K in other compensation.

Akin S. Harrison, General Counsel, received $1.7M in 2021, which increases by 12% compared to 2020.
