United Therapeutics reported fiscal year 2018 executive compensation information on April 29, 2019.
In 2018, four executives at United Therapeutics received on average a compensation package of $8.3M, a 53% decrease compared to previous year.
Martine Rothblatt, Chief Executive Officer, received $16M in total, which decreased by 57% compared to 2017. 80% of Rothblatt's compensation, or $13M, was in option awards. Rothblatt also received $2M in non-equity incentive plan, $1.2M in salary, as well as $9.8K in other compensation.
Michael Benkowitz, Chief Operating Officer, received a compensation package of $6.6M, which decreased by 43% compared to previous year. 58% of the compensation package, or $3.8M, was in option awards.
Paul Mahon, General Counsel, earned $5.3M in 2018, a 59% decrease compared to previous year.
James Edgemond, Chief Financial Officer, received $5.2M in 2018, which decreases by 39% compared to 2017.
