UnitedHealth Group reported fiscal year 2021 executive compensation information on April 22, 2022.
In 2021, six executives at UnitedHealth Group received on average a compensation package of $13M, a 7% increase compared to previous year.
Andrew P. Witty, Chief Executive Officer, received $18M in total, which increased by 43% compared to 2020. 58% of Witty's compensation, or $11M, was in stock awards. Witty also received $2.6M in non-equity incentive plan, $3.6M in option awards, $1.5M in salary, as well as $57K in other compensation.
Dirk C. McMahon, Chief Operating Officer, received a compensation package of $15M, which increased by 16% compared to previous year. 58% of the compensation package, or $8.6M, was in stock awards.
John F. Rex, Chief Financial Officer, earned $15M in 2021, a 16% increase compared to previous year.
David S. Wichmann, Chief Executive Officer, received $11M in 2021, which decreases by 37% compared to 2020.
Brian R. Thompson, Chief Executive Officer, earned $9.7M in 2021.
Marianne D. Short, Chief Legal Officer, received $6.4M in 2021, which decreases by 7% compared to 2020.
