Varian CEO Dow Wilson's 2018 pay jumps 24% to $10M

Varian reported fiscal year 2018 executive compensation information on December 21, 2018.
In 2018, four Varian executives received on average a compensation package of $4.9M, a 68% increase compared to previous year.
Dow R. Wilson, Chief Executive Officer, received $10M in total, which increased by 24% compared to 2017. 41% of Wilson's compensation, or $4.2M, was in option awards. Wilson also received $2.2M in non-equity incentive plan, $1M in salary, $2.8M in stock awards, as well as $39K in other compensation.
Kolleen T. Kennedy, Executive Vice President and President, Oncology Systems, received a compensation package of $3.9M, which increased by 19% compared to previous year. 43% of the compensation package, or $1.7M, was in stock awards.
Gary E. Bischoping, Chief Financial Officer, earned $2.9M in 2018, a 3% increase compared to previous year.
John W. Kuo, General Counsel, received $2.5M in 2018, which increases by 15% compared to 2017.
Varian's fiscal year ends on September 27.
