Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman's 2008 pay rises 7% to $28M

Viacom reported fiscal year 2008 executive compensation information on April 17, 2009.
In 2008, six Viacom executives received on average a compensation package of $12M, a 1% decrease compared to previous year.
Philippe P. Dauman, Chief Executive Officer, received $28M in total, which increased by 7% compared to 2007. 40% of Dauman's compensation, or $11M, was in stock awards. Dauman also received $74K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $7.9M in non-equity incentive plan, $6M in option awards, $2.5M in salary, as well as $297K in other compensation.
Thomas E. Dooley, Chief Financial Officer, received a compensation package of $22M, which increased by 7% compared to previous year. 41% of the compensation package, or $9M, was in stock awards.
Sumner M. Redstone, Chairman, earned $14M in 2008, a 10% decrease compared to previous year.
Michael D. Fricklas, General Counsel, received $5.3M in 2008, which decreases by 36% compared to 2007.
Jacques Tortoroli, Chief Accounting Officer, earned $2.1M in 2008, a 29% increase compared to previous year.
Denise White, Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Administration, received $2M in 2008.
Viacom's fiscal year ends on September 30.
