Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman's 2009 pay jumps 21% to $34M

Viacom reported fiscal year 2009 executive compensation information on April 16, 2010.
In 2009, five Viacom executives received on average a compensation package of $17M, a 41% increase compared to previous year.
Philippe P. Dauman, Chief Executive Officer, received $34M in total, which increased by 21% compared to 2008. 37% of Dauman's compensation, or $13M, was in stock awards. Dauman also received $38K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $13M in non-equity incentive plan, $6M in option awards, $2.5M in salary, as well as $243K in other compensation.
Thomas E. Dooley, Chief Financial Officer, received a compensation package of $27M, which increased by 22% compared to previous year. 38% of the compensation package, or $10M, was in stock awards.
Sumner M. Redstone, Chairman, earned $17M in 2009, a 21% increase compared to previous year.
Michael D. Fricklas, General Counsel, received $6.1M in 2009, which increases by 14% compared to 2008.
Denise White, Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Administration, earned $2.2M in 2009, a 12% increase compared to previous year.
Viacom's fiscal year ends on September 30.
