Visa reported fiscal year 2009 executive compensation information on December 1, 2009.
In 2009, five Visa executives received on average a compensation package of $9.6M, a 74% increase compared to previous year.
John C. Hans Morris, Former President, received $18M in total, which increased by 275% compared to 2008. 39% of Morris' compensation, or $7.2M, was in option awards. Morris also received $213K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $1.8M in non-equity incentive plan, $750K in salary, $4.2M in stock awards, as well as $4.2M in other compensation.
Joseph W. Saunders, Chief Executive Officer, received a compensation package of $14M, which increased by 36% compared to previous year. 38% of the compensation package, or $5.2M, was in option awards.
John M. Partridge, Chief Operating Officer, earned $8M in 2009, a 17% increase compared to previous year.
Byron Pollitt, Chief Financial Officer, received $4.6M in 2009, which increases by 35% compared to 2008.
Joshua R. Floum, General Counsel, earned $3.3M in 2009, a 45% increase compared to previous year.
Visa's fiscal year ends on September 30.
