Visa CEO Alfred Kelly's 2021 pay rises 17% to $31M

Visa reported fiscal year 2021 executive compensation information on December 2, 2021.
In 2021, five Visa executives received on average a compensation package of $18M, a 9% increase compared to previous year.
Alfred F. Kelly, Jr, Chief Executive Officer, received $31M in total, which increased by 17% compared to 2020. 57% of Kelly's compensation, or $18M, was in stock awards. Kelly also received $6.4M in non-equity incentive plan, $5.1M in option awards, $1.6M in salary, as well as $188K in other compensation.
For fiscal year 2021, the median employee pay was $146,420 at Visa. Therefore, the ratio of Alfred F. Kelly, Jr's pay to the median employee pay was 211 to one.
Ryan McInerney, President, received a compensation package of $18M, which increased by 19% compared to previous year. 55% of the compensation package, or $9.8M, was in stock awards.
Rajat Taneja, President, Technology, earned $17M in 2021, a 20% increase compared to previous year.
Vasant M. Prabhu, Chief Financial Officer, received $16M in 2021, which increases by 19% compared to 2020.
Kelly Mahon Tullier, Vice Chair, Chief People and Administrative Officer, earned $8.2M in 2021, a 22% increase compared to previous year.
Visa's fiscal year ends on September 30.
