Visa CEO Alfred Kelly's 2022 pay slips 9% to $28M

Visa reported fiscal year 2022 executive compensation information on December 1, 2022.
In 2022, five Visa executives received on average a compensation package of $17M, a 5% decrease compared to previous year.
Alfred F. Kelly, Jr, Chief Executive Officer, received $28M in total, which decreased by 9% compared to 2021. 53% of Kelly's compensation, or $15M, was in stock awards. Kelly also received $6.2M in non-equity incentive plan, $5.3M in option awards, $1.6M in salary, as well as $240K in other compensation.
For fiscal year 2022, the median employee pay was $152,395 at Visa. Therefore, the ratio of Alfred F. Kelly, Jr's pay to the median employee pay was 184 to one.
Ryan McInerney, President, received a compensation package of $17M, which decreased by 4% compared to previous year. 53% of the compensation package, or $9.1M, was in stock awards.
Rajat Taneja, President, Technology, earned $16M in 2022, a 5% decrease compared to previous year.
Vasant M. Prabhu, Chief Financial Officer, received $15M in 2022, which decreases by 7% compared to 2021.
Kelly Mahon Tullier, Vice Chair, Chief People and Administrative Officer, earned $9.3M in 2022, a 14% increase compared to previous year.
Visa's fiscal year ends on September 30.
