VMware reported fiscal year 2022 executive compensation information on May 27, 2022.
In 2022, seven VMware executives received on average a compensation package of $16M, a 11% increase compared to previous year.
Raghu Raghuram, Chief Executive Officer, received $32M in total, which increased by 131% compared to 2021. 94% of Raghuram's compensation, or $30M, was in stock awards. Raghuram also received $1.2M in non-equity incentive plan and $899K in salary.
For fiscal year 2022, the median employee pay was $136,971 at VMware. Therefore, the ratio of Raghu Raghuram's pay to the median employee pay was 236 to one.
Zane Rowe, Chief Executive Officer, received a compensation package of $26M, which increased by 68% compared to previous year. 90% of the compensation package, or $23M, was in stock awards.
Sumit Dhawan, President, earned $18M in 2022.
Sanjay Poonen, Chief Operating Officer, received $13M in 2022, which decreases by 3% compared to 2021.
Jean-Pierre Brulard, EVP, Worldwide Sales, earned $13M in 2022.
Amy Fliegelman Olli, General Counsel, received $7.5M in 2022, which decreases by 31% compared to 2021.
Patrick P. Gelsinger, Chief Executive Officer, earned $38K in 2022, a 100% decrease compared to previous year.
