Xcel Energy reported fiscal year 2021 executive compensation information on April 5, 2022.
In 2021, six executives at Xcel Energy received on average a compensation package of $5.2M, a 11% increase compared to previous year.
Ben Fowke, Chief Executive Officer, received $13M in total, which decreased by 24% compared to 2020. 70% of Fowke's compensation, or $9M, was in stock awards. Fowke also received $511K of change in pension value and nonqualified deferred compensation earnings, $1.8M in non-equity incentive plan, $1.4M in salary, as well as $130K in other compensation.
Bob Frenzel, Chief Executive Officer, received a compensation package of $8.4M, which increased by 106% compared to previous year. 75% of the compensation package, or $6.3M, was in stock awards.
Brian Van Abel, Chief Financial Officer, earned $2.9M in 2021, a 16% increase compared to previous year.
Timothy O'Connor, Executive Vice President, Chief Operations Officer, received $2.9M in 2021, which increases by 19% compared to 2020.
Brett Carter, Executive Vice President, Group President, Utilities and Chief Customer Officer, earned $2.2M in 2021, a 4% decrease compared to previous year.
Amanda Rome, Executive Vice President, Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, received $2.1M in 2021, which increases by 17% compared to 2020.
