XTO ENERGY reported fiscal year 2008 executive compensation information on April 17, 2009.
In 2008, five XTO ENERGY executives received on average a compensation package of $27M, a 72% increase compared to previous year.
Bob R. Simpson, Founder, received $65M in total, which increased by 38% compared to 2007. 46% of Simpson's compensation, or $30M, was in bonus. Simpson also received $19M in option awards, $1.6M in salary, $15M in stock awards, as well as $376K in other compensation.
Keith A. Hutton, Chief Executive Officer, received a compensation package of $30M, which increased by 152% compared to previous year. 53% of the compensation package, or $16M, was in option awards.
Vaughn O. Vennerberg II, Director and President, earned $23M in 2008, a 133% increase compared to previous year.
Louis G. Baldwin, Chief Financial Officer, received $9.1M in 2008, which increases by 88% compared to 2007.
Timothy L. Petrus, Executive Vice President, Acquisitions, earned $8.3M in 2008, a 74% increase compared to previous year.
